
Chuck Hamann
Director
An admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa since 10 January 2006, Chuck holds an LLB degree from the University of the Western Cape.
He has practiced for his own account since and was also employed by Legal Aid South Africa as a civil attorney during 2013 and 2014.
Chuck served as an acting magistrate for the Department of Justice & Constitutional Development (Judiciary) in 2019, where he presided over Family, Criminal and Civil matters, provided training and advice to colleagues, and wrote and delivered judgements. He has also spent time managing the Legal Aid SA (Grahamstown Justice Centre) office and has gained invaluable experience there.
He was a researcher at the Community Law Centre, University of the Western Cape in 2000 and has also given Pro Bono advice on “Legal Train” (Kokstad) in 2003.
Chuck has since joined Thomson Wilks as a director.
