
Megan Viljoen
Consultant
Megan holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Stellenbosch University as well as an LLB and LLM from the University of Cape Town.Her masters’ degree focused on Intellectual Property, Cybercrime, and Electronic Transactions.
She completed pupillage at the Cape Bar in 2015, where she gained extensive experience in administrative and public law. She was elected as a member of the Junior Bar, served on the Advocacy training committee, and is involved in ongoing legal education at the Cape Bar, as well as on a national level. She further completed an international advocacy training course in 2018.
Megan was a member of the Cape Bar until she joined Thomson Wilks in 2020. She has vast experience in High Court and Magistrate Court litigation, Arbitrations and opinion writing.
During her time at the Cape Bar, she was also a teaching assistant at UCT in the private law sector.
