Safiyya joined Thomson Wilks in 2009, and is an admitted Attorney on the North Gauteng High Court Roll Pretoria, South Africa since 2011. Her practice incorporates foreign direct investment transactions, encompassing cross border negotiations, including commercial and corporate law matters, both litigious and non-litigious matters, international trade and offshore agreements, company formation specialty and Offshore Company strategy.
She heads the international role of Thomson Wilks Middle East Strategic & Legal Consultancy Office, based predominantly in Dubai, U.A.E
She speaks regularly at conferences on international investments and the international environment in creating business opportunities, whilst overcoming cross border contracts, and governmental challenges, in an ever increasing international multicultural society.
Safiyya holds a Masters in Law awarded with Merit and specialization in Banking and Finance Law, a Postgraduate Diploma in Law with specialization in Banking & Finance and a Postgraduate Certificate awarded with Merit in Law with specialization in Commercial and Corporate Law from the University of London. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in Law, International Relations, and English from the University of Witwatersrand and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of South Africa.
