Anny Lee is a Consultant Attorney at Thomson Wilks in the Sandton office with a broad litigation and advisory practice. Her work includes commercial and general civil litigation, debt collection and divorce and family law, and she assists clients with disputes arising from a range of commercial and personal matters. Anny completed her articles at Thomson Wilks and was admitted as an attorney in 2014.
Her dispute resolution experience includes High Court litigation and arbitration arising from commercial agreements and transactions, as well as civil trial and motion proceedings in the Magistrates’ Court. She also drafts and reviews a range of commercial and litigation documents, including commercial contracts, shareholders’ agreements, sale of shares agreements and cession agreements.
Anny’s practice extends to employment matters, where she advises clients on workplace issues, chairs disciplinary hearings and assists with disputes before the CCMA and Labour Court. She also provides company secretarial support and has advised clients on mining-related matters, including applications for mining rights, transactions involving companies holding mineral rights and engagements with the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy.
Anny holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Law and Finance and an LLB from the University of the Witwatersrand. She has also completed further training in practice management, advanced company law and insolvency. Fluent in English and Mandarin, Anny is actively involved in the Chinese community and has used her bilingual abilities as a translator at community events.
