Ayesha Amier

Ayesha Amier is an Associate at Thomson Wilks in the Cape Town office, where she practises in general and commercial litigation. Her experience includes matters before both the High Court and Magistrates’ Court, with particular exposure to commercial disputes, urgent applications and liquidation proceedings.

Having completed her articles at Thomson Wilks, Ayesha has developed her litigation practice within the firm from the outset of her legal career. Her work involves preparing pleadings and other court documentation, managing client correspondence and supporting the progression of complex disputes from preparation through to court proceedings. She also has experience in divorce proceedings and the drafting and review of service-level agreements and other legal documentation.

Alongside her litigation practice, Ayesha has developed an interest in compliance and forensic investigation. She has completed a Compliance Management Course through the University of Cape Town’s GetSmarter programme and is currently pursuing a Forensic Investigation Course through North-West University, further developing her knowledge of economic crime detection and regulatory compliance.

Ayesha holds an LLB from the University of the Western Cape and was admitted as an attorney in 2025. She is also actively involved in community-based legal service through the Athlone Legal Advice Clinic, where she assists clients with basic legal documents and advisory matters.
