Caitlin Hardnick

Caitlin Hardnick is an Associate at Thomson Wilks in the Durban office, where her current practice is focused on corporate and commercial law. She has worked with a wide range of clients, including large corporate entities and listed companies, and has experience supporting the management, progression and completion of substantial commercial projects.

Her corporate and commercial experience includes merger and acquisition due diligence, complex reorganisation transactions and the drafting and review of commercial agreements. Caitlin has also worked on significant corporate transactions, including as part of the team involved in establishing a joint venture between a South African listed company and an international business.

Caitlin has developed additional experience in estates and fiduciary work, including the administration of deceased estates, preparation of liquidation and distribution accounts and the drafting of wills. Her trust-related experience extends to the registration, amendment, administration and deregistration of various trust structures. She has also gained exposure to conveyancing, giving her a broader understanding of matters that may intersect with corporate, property and succession considerations.

Caitlin holds an LLB from the University of South Africa. Her combination of commercial and fiduciary experience has given her exposure to both corporate transactions and the detailed procedural and compliance requirements associated with estate and trust administration.
