Sarah has practised as a specialist environmental lawyer since 2005. She has provided advice on almost all aspects of environmental, planning, and health and safety law for both public and private sector clients.

Sarah has a thorough understanding of administrative law. She has a special interest in biodiversity and protected areas law and a good track record in environmental litigation. She was a member of the transaction advisory team that helped design South Africa’s renewable energy programme, has acted as a specialist reviewer for a provincial government environment department, and is currently a Member of the Water Tribunal. She also has experience as the lead drafter of legislation for national government. Sarah is an author on LexisNexis Practical Guidance and has trained public and private sector clients on many aspects of environmental compliance.
