Xolile Maphanga is an Associate in the Employment team, specialising in labour and employment law.
She has experience in employment litigation, CCMA arbitrations, disciplinary proceedings and collective bargaining matters, and has appeared in the Labour Court. Her practice also includes advising on workplace investigations, employment policies, settlement agreements and the interpretation of collective agreements.
Before returning to private practice, Xolile served as a Law Clerk to Justice Nonkosi Mhlantla at the Constitutional Court of South Africa, where she gained extensive experience in legal research, constitutional and statutory interpretation, and the analysis of complex issues arising in constitutional, labour and administrative law.
Xolile holds an LLB and an LLM in Labour Studies from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and was admitted as an Attorney in 2024.
