Alex van Greuning

Alex is an associate in employment law, practising under Hugo Pienaar and Jose Jorge, servicing their client base across various industries.

Academic

Alex completed his LLB and LLM degrees at Stellenbosch University. Focus areas in his LLM (coursework) included international labour and social security law, and restraint of trade agreements.

Career

Alex completed his practical vocational training at Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr in January 2024, after which he was retained as an associate in the employment law department. He was admitted as an attorney in May 2024. He joined Thomson Wilks in March 2025.

Experience

Alex has gained experience in individual and collective labour law, including advisory and litigious work, with particular exposure to restraint of trade disputes and workplace investigations.
