Mohsina Chenia is a Director in the Employment Practice at Thomson Wilks, with extensive experience advising employers across the public and private sectors. Her clients span a diverse range of industries, including corporate, local government, education, state-owned enterprises, road freight and logistics.
Admitted as an Attorney in 1993, Mohsina advises on all aspects of employment law and industrial relations, including business restructuring, mergers and transfers, collective bargaining, employment equity and discrimination, industrial action, large-scale retrenchments and restraint of trade disputes. She also represents clients before the Constitutional Court, Labour Court, Labour Appeal Court, CCMA and Bargaining Councils.
Mohsina has served as an Acting Judge of the Labour Court and is Chairperson of the Human Rights Committee at North-West University, as well as Chairperson of its Gender-Based Violence Task Team.
Her standing in employment law has been recognised by Who’s Who Legal, which has named her a leading lawyer in Labour & Employment, and by The Legal 500, where she was recommended in Labour and Employment from 2010 to 2014.
